The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is a collaborative effort between several organizations, including the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute, World Wildlife Fund, and Carbon Disclosure Project. The SBTi helps companies set greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in line with the latest climate science to contribute to the goals of the Paris Agreement. By aligning their emission reduction goals with scientific evidence, companies can demonstrate their commitment to climate action and contribute to limiting global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
