The "Allow Date Conflict" feature allows you to decide how date-related conflicts are managed in your data fields. This feature grants you the flexibility to manage data discrepancies according to your specific organizational needs. In standard practice, the platform prevents conflicting or overlapping dates to ensure data consistency. However, when specific scenarios require more nuanced data representation, enabling this feature allows you to incorporate date conflicts in your source data.
How It Works
Step 1: Navigate to the Source Management section in the admin panel.
This feature can be enabled while editing an existing source or creating a new one.
Step 2: Click the "Add Source" button or "Edit Source" (pencil) icon.
Step 3: Choose the activity associated with your source and continue to the next step.
Step 4: In the "Define Source" field, locate and select "Allow Date Conflict" at the bottom right to activate this feature.
Step 5: Continue with the remaining steps to finalize the creation/editing of your source.
Step 6: Once activated, the platform will accept overlapping dates within the specified data fields, allowing you to upload data for the same dates.
Deactivating the Date Conflict
To deactivate, simply edit the source and uncheck "Allow Date Conflict" during the editing process.
